• 9 – 10 cc.

At the turn of 9 – 10 centuries, ancient “Domus” was a participant and/or witness of accession of Old Catalonia (from the Pyrenees to the river Llobregat). Some of the villas and houses on the Maresme coast supplied people from Vallis Cannetum (old name of Canet de Mar) with the products from their farms, wood and wine. These events likely represent a prototype of the painting, which can be found on the wall in the Throne room. The painting represents Wilfred the Hairy, Count of Barcelona, who was wounded in battle (one of the legends how the flag of Catalonia was created).
