How to get
St. Florentina’s Castle is located on the part the Balearic Sea coast, called Costa del Maresme to the south of Costa Brava, 47 km from Barcelona and 59 km from Girona in Canet de Mar.
You can reach Canet de Mar by the N-II or by the C-32 motorway. It will take you approximately 40 minutes to get to the Castle from Barcelona and approximately an hour from Girona. The AP-7 motorway runs along the Mediterranean coast of Spain. If you leave the motorway towards La Roca del Vallés, you will get to Mataró, and from there the C-32 motorway will lead you to Canet de Mar by Salida 113
In accordance with the map you will reach the Castle if you take Avenida Doctor María Serra to dirt road and further under the C-32 motorway.
Canet de Mar is connected with Barcelona by C1 railway line. The trip lasts about 50 minutes, and trains come every 15 minutes at rush hour and every 30 minutes at other time. To come from Barcelona you can take train on the stations Sants, Plaça Catalunya, Arc de Triomf and El Clot.
After that, you will need to go to the Castle on foot. It will take you around 30 minutes to get to the Castle from the train station on foot. You need to leave the train station and walk in accordance with the map below. You need to cross the N-II highway and reach Riera Sant Doménec. If you turn left you will appear on the wide street with bars and restaurants, then after crossroads you will see a beautiful building called Casa Museo Lluís Domenech i Montaner. Then you need to go up along the Riera Buscarons, which turns to the Avenida Doctor María Serra and then along the dirt road right up to the Castle.
Interurban Bus (627):
Goes from Hospital de Calella (summer schedule from Monday to Friday): 9:00 – 9:55 – 13:35 – 14:35 – 15:35 and in 20′ gets to bus station Plaça Pau Casals in Canet de Mar. 10′ by foot to the Castle.
